Did you know that The Resource Exchange saves building materials from landfill? We spent a snowy Saturday reorganizing our selection of tile to make room for some great marble, concrete, stone, and carpet samples that just came in. If you have a floor in need of some love, like the one below, RE is the place to be.
That, of course, is the before picture. Ed and Donna Rzepski transformed their kitchen using our reclaimed hardwood flooring. Reclaimed floors present a definite challenge, but what a reward — didn’t they do a great job?
It’s hard to believe that these floorboard might have ended up in a landfill. They’re simply gorgeous, and so much nicer than the original linoleum (although, let’s be real… you can get reclaimed linoleum at RE, too.)
Reclaimed floors seem to be a big trend in Philadelphia, and not just at museums like the Barnes. Check out this interesting residential reclaimed flooring article from our friends at Hidden City!
