Chin Up!

It’s a new year, and things are looking up at RE! Here are some items you might not notice in the shop… unless you do some looking up, too.

This gorgeous enlarger was donated by an individual. We’ve got Ilford photo paper, photo paper for home printers [if you don’t have your own darkroom], and rolls of photo paper for large scale printers! And speaking of photos — have you noticed the lovely ambrotype and very vintage photo album in our display case up front?

These drawings came from a movie that was shot in NYC over a year ago. More recent donations from a film shot in the heart of Philadelphia will be hitting the shelves this weekend. Come check them out!

And finally, recognize this? It might seem familiar if you’ve been to the Walnut Street Theatre lately. Paper that lined the Walnut’s paint deck as they prepared for The Music Man now graces the walls in the front of the shop.

Seeing it up will help you understand what it looks like on a larger scale, and where it comes from — perspective that is sometimes difficult if you don’t work in the industry. You can take a piece home, too — our unique, handmade cards all feature sections of scenic paper, and make great gifts.
