Volunteer Spotlight: Hunter!

Ah, lumber. It makes us so happy to see 2x4s, like these, reused in art and building projects rather than being sent to landfill or chipped by recyclers. Clearly they’re still extremely useful — it’s just finding the user that can be a challenge. So they sit in the shop, waiting for their second go-round.

Volunteer extraordinaire Hunter came by to help us organize our lumber and building materials. That section of the store is particularly prone to change — this summer we had stacks of 2x4s, and now we’ve got a lot of poplar and sheet goods of all varieties, from plywood remnants to full sheets of polycarbonate, plexi and tempered glass.

Hunter did a bang up job putting our chaos in order. Thanks, Hunter!
