Local artist Kathryn Sclavi came into the shop this week to pick up some fabric for her free pop up coffee shop. The coffee shop will be popping up in a vacant lot in Philadelphia this summer. Rather than allow debris to fill the lot like so many other lots in Philadelphia, Kate is turning both the lot and Philadelphia’s waste into a new resource for the community. Such upcycling of Philadelphia’s materials is what we are all about here at the resource exchange. We can’t wait to see how the project turns out!
