On Sunday June 16th our featured artist, Bethany Rose Rusen, will be teaching a Mixed Media Collage workshop. Check out Rusen’s eclectic works hanging in our Gallery…
We will use the treasure trove of materials at the RE to create mixed media assemblage sculptures inspired by the works of Louise Nevelson and Joseph Cornell. Cornell once said, “Collage = Reality.” Here are some of their inspirational works…
“When you put together what other people have thrown out you’re really bringing them to life.” – Louise Nevelson
“Shadow boxes become poetic theatre…” -Joseph Cornell
The Nevelson/Cornell: Mixed Media & Found Objects workshop will go from 12:00pm – 3:00pm this Sunday the 16th. The RE will provide each student with a wooden shadow box. The $25 workshop fee wil be collected when you arrive. Space is limited so please register by emailing us: info@theresourceexchange.org!
