The Tribe of Fools bought 17 sheets of reclaimed homasote to pad the floor of their stage for all of the parkour, acrobatics, and related mayhem happening in their Fringe Show Antihero, which opened last night!
Do you hate the Philadelphia Parking Authority? Who doesn’t? Antihero is one man’s quest to topple this corrupt institution. . . with his fists. Filled with fighting, parkour, and acrobatics, Antihero is a satire about our cultural obsession with vigilantes, violence, and heroes who do the wrong things for the “right” reasons.
Homasote is an item we have donated to us frequently from local film shoots. Because it’s reused, we sell it at a discounted price. This promotes the creation of art from the arts by enabling companies like Tribe of Fools to use what would normally be an expensive material in their original theatrical work.
Now go see the show! There are 8 dates from September 6 2013 – September 14 2013, at The Church of the Crucifixion, 620 South 8th Street, Philadelphia, PA 19147. Buy tickets online too!
