A couple months back, Kathryn Sclavi came by our store to pick up some reclaimed fabric for her temporary summer long Freeshop Coffeeshop. Now that the summer’s over, the project has come to an end.
The tent looked great. Sclavi stitched the tent together with reclaimed fabric from our shop. She also used milk crates for seats, crocheted scrap fabric for seat pads and sawhorses and a door panel for a table. It’s great to see materials being reclaimed and put back to use in the community!
If you missed your free coffee and didn’t get to see the coffeeshop, make sure to check out Sclavi’s new show at PRACTICE gallery in chinatown. This Saturday is the last day for the show so make sure to stop by this weekend to check it out!
