We were excited to have Jess, one of the coordinators for Winterfest, come into The Resource Exchange looking for supplies for the pop up winter wonderland that is now at Penn’s Landing.  Jess was charged with organizing a kids craft table for Winterfest (among other things!), so she came searching for creative DIY ornament and gift ideas.  We were happy to see her leave the re with LOADS of reclaimed and salvaged materials!  Jess picked up blank kraft boxes with clear lids for kids to decorate, paper for card making, and a ton of supplies like paint, yarn, glitter, scissors, and little materials for fun decorations.  So, if you make crafts at Winterfest, chance are you’re using Resource Exchange materials!

We got wrapped up in the holiday spirit and visited Winterfest last week.  The craft table with re materials wasn’t open, but we did see signs of little elves!  We found pine cone ornaments painted, glittered, hung up with re yarn!  Glad to be a part of such a cool Philly event.  You can still Visit Winterfest until January 5th!
