Local artist Seneca Weintraut wins the prize for most creative reuse of the pieces of fur we have at The Resource Exchange….a quilt you can actually pet!

This black faux fur came to the re from the costume department of a major motion picture shot locally.  Seneca used the fur and also incorporated other fabrics into the quilt by collaging the material onto masonite panels that he then framed. This quilt is 8 1/2 ft tall by 6 ft wide, but one of the best features is that no one can keep their hands off of the dog made of fur, everyone wants to pet him!  Seneca says, “that faux fur fabric really made the piece I have to say.”
