Reclaimed Halloween Dragon!

waterbender costumesHappy Halloween! Want to get your Halloween on the reclaimed way? Check out what customers Sarah Grace and Sterling were able to do with salvaged materials from our store! They reused fabric, ribbon and faux fur to create their “waterbender” costumes (from the tv show Avatar: the Last Airbender).  Sterling even sewed his jacket from scratch with some dark blue fabric from our $1/lb fabric bin!

But they didn’t just make their costumes from reclaimed materials- they decorated with them too! They set out to make a large dragon head to decorate the space for their Halloween party. They used these interesting glass globes that were once light fixtures for the dragon’s eyes.

Our dragon looked so cool once everything was finished and lit up. We’re so lucky to have such an awesome resource for creating projects like these. Thanks for being around.”
