The Asian Arts Initiative Gallery recently hosted “The Really Awesome Art Show: The Remix” – the annual youth art exhibition featuring artwork from the City of Philadelphia Mural Arts Educations Programs. One of these programs was “Artrepreneurs” – an after school program that introduces high school aged students to the creative economy. Taught by Mural Arts Program instructors, Bonnie Kaye Whitfield and Zeke Jenei, the Artrepreneurs class provides budding entrepreneurs with design and business expertise to create and develop their own artistic enterprises. Students participate in pitch competitions and pop-up shops throughout the school year.
