Check out this Hobbit Hole made entirely from The Resource Exchange’s reclaimed materials! The vessel is a film canister that was salvaged from a clear out of The Penn Museum. The Inside and outside were made to look like Bilbo Baggins’ door from fabric and textile samples found here at the re.
The fabric used for the sky, clouds, rocks, and trees were all from the $1/ lb section of the tore. The inside of the door was made from strips of green leather that were found in the leather remnants section of the store. The outside of the door was made from the re’s woven blind samples! Even the hinge and the ‘doorknob’ came from the re’s hardware section.
