Philadelphia Teachers Brighten Classrooms with Creative Reuse

These amazing teachers are kicking off the school year with a sustainable start! We salvage homasote sheets from movie sets, made with 98% recycled paper and wax! They’re perfect for countless classroom projects and decorations. RE customer Honora saw the potential and put the homasote to good use in her art class.

“The photos were from my Art 2H class at Harriton HS. The students were practicing using watercolors. They were working on the homasote boards I got from you last summer.  They were a hit! I hope to have them for many years!”

More classrooms decorated with reclaimed materials from the re:

Kelsey, Special Education teacher at Saul High School, found paper lanterns and star decorations with string lights.

Nellie, 9th grade Environmental Science teacher at Benjamin Franklin High School, found construction paper and made these amazing bulletin boards!

And last but not least, Katie’s classroom decorations are fun and welcoming!

Thank you to Honora, Kelsey, Nellie, & Katie for sharing these adorable pictures. We hope all our RE educators and students have a great year!
