Anna and Jeremy tied the knot last August with a beautiful celebration at the MAAS Building. Both the ceremony and reception were filled with handmade details made by the couple and elements of reuse– creating a unique and sustainable wedding!
Anna and Jeremy were neighbors with The Resource Exchange before we moved to our new location at 1800 North American Street and are still frequent visitors incorporating reuse into big and small projects.
For wedding signage, Anna and Jeremy reused these black sintra boards they found at The Resource Exchange several years ago. The signage was donated to us by a local grocery store and originally purchased by them to be the base for their bedframe. Anna and Jeremy gave the black sintra a third life by hand painting them for their wedding signs!
Other thoughtful details, making this a sustainable wedding, included sourcing large candles, vases, candle holders, guestbook pens, arrow signs donated from another wedding, tablecloths (Anna even dyed some of them herself!), and a postcard box all from The Resource Exchange!
We love that Anna and Jeremy planned many of the details, from beginning to end, with reuse in mind. Sourcing materials from their favorite local thrift shops, using what they already owned, and even making a natural strawflower ceremony backdrop.
Congratulations Anna and Jeremy and thank you for sharing this beautiful celebration with us!
If you’re planning a wedding, start with reuse and see what you can find at The Resource Exchange!
