I carve into scraps of wood leftover from construction sites around my East Kensington neighborhood then make prints. I infuse my artwork with the love, rage, sorrow and hope I experience as I witness and participate in societal upheavals from the Black Lives Matter movement to being a father and the anxiety I feel for his future. Some of the subjects of my work include stopping war, one of humanity’s greatest polluting systems, to forging peace, to new sustainable ways of living, loving and sheltering.
