Deanna Black is a multidisciplinary artist and designer from the Philadelphia suburbs who works in collage, paint, and graphic design. She discovered her love for collage in 2011 from creating a weekly art journal in a high school art class. Enthralled by the process of using mixed media to construct intricately layered and expressive pieces within a journal, she began bringing her work beyond the pages. Her collages are fueled by a profound love of collecting paper ephemera and combining the scraps into compelling visuals. Creating something new and unique out of what others deem as trash invigorates her creative spirit.
