That statement by Joseph Cornell sums up how I approach my sculpture. I never know what I might find in the junk pile and how it might relate to something I may already have. The magic is in the objects’ juxtaposition and the feeling I get when it’s totally “right.”
I have been an artist all my life, working in various mediums from oil paints to computer graphics, but over the past 20 years, I have become immersed in assemblage sculpture. I love discovering discarded treasures that will find a new life as art.
