Isabella DeVito is an artist living in Philadelphia. Graduated with a BFA in Theater Design from UArts, Isabella makes a living as a technician in theaters of the Philadelphia area. With such a wasteful industry and near unlimited access to all its offcuts and garbage, it only makes sense for her to create beautiful things from it. Isabella’s recreations are two things: an expression of agency in an industry that is imbued with exploitation, and a study of how she experiences alienation in a deteriorating society. Isabella hopes to use this labor to send love to her local family as well as those she holds community with living far and wide. Love letters live and die in perfect fashion.
