Recently, I set out to create a piece of art every day using recycled paper. In march, while organizing scrap paper and collage material, I ended up with a pile of ‘scraps’ that was all complete enough to be surfaces. Thus began this endeavor. These works are a way for me to experiment with collage of materials, many of which are either found paper materials, purchased second hand, or scrap/byproducts of other pieces I make. Along with experimentation with material, I am interested in exploring the associations that using found paper will bring to my art, as well as building a larger narrative, as repeated materials begin to take on meaning within the context of each other.
