As a fiber artist, I enjoy the creative challenges of giving discarded materials a second life. I often use non-traditional structures and materials as looms and weaving materials to create unique woven objects. I have used discarded t-shirts to create a large-scale weaving and outdoor chairs, benches, and signposts as looms for public artworks. In the future, I look forward to pushing the boundaries with materials. Chair frames, wire baskets, fiber, Bingo chips…I always find something at the Resource Exchange for my next project.
