Linda Ruggiero is a Philadelphia-based fiber artist with a focus on zero-waste, textile wall hangings. She enjoys testing the combined effects of mixed media materials in creating each piece. She is currently focusing creating nontraditional weaving looms, in which the “canvas” contains an established warp and may include a previously woven textile, broken picture frames and plastic packing materials. She then creates work including these “looms” as part of the finished piece. Linda is also the founder of Philly Fiber Flock, a local fiber arts community that creates a platform for shared knowledge, resources and events among local fiber artists.
