A mother, her two daughters, and her cousin provide commentary on suburban stream ecosystems where beauty and trash co-exist. The “Collection of Sad Things” are items found in the stream in our yard which consists of mostly broken bottles. A photo of the girls playing with stream critters is framed by both trash and dried plants, and an original watercolor of a fish enjoying a smoke completes this project.
