Lou is a passionate artist and storyteller. A graduate of Philadelphia University of the Art’s Illustration program, although this submission is fiber art. Materials were all sourced second hand though Resource Exchange crochet doily, thread and embroidery hoop. I find this work to appropriately defines my love for all motifs of home and domesticity in medium, while also showcasing my appreciation for iron rod decretive work, seen in the fences/gates of Philly neighborhood’s. Historical preservation is a main pillar of sustainability as construction creates undo waste.
