Fern Collective (Sarah Grossman)

Sewing reclaimed, repurposed, and natural-fiber vintage and remnant textiles are my pleasure and passion.

As I strive to repurpose textiles and create fantastic kitchen staples that will endure a long time of good use, The Resource Exchange has been an endless well of goods. I love to design new silhouettes for an old standard and team them up with a beautiful textile. Small-batch sewing allows creativity to flow; I love the treasure of reclaimed material with unusual patterns and splashy florals. Neutral palettes are also in the mix, as stains and splotches are a busy apron’s badge of honor.

It is artwork AND an apron; it most certainly will fit, express style preference, and do its job to protect the outfit one would like to keep stain free and proudly repeat! When I don my apron, my mind is set to get down to business, and convinces my inner self that stuff is gettin’ done!
