Fabric Scraps

If you’ve been in the shop lately, you’ve probably been thinking, “what’s with all the scrap fabric?” Textile artist Melissa Maddonni Haims is developing a project using RE scrap fabric and foam. She’ll be using much of it as stuffing — we’ll keep you posted on where and when you can check out the finished installation.

She’s also using a bunch of RE yarn for yarn-bombing projects, including one in a stairwell for the Fairmount Park Historic House Tours. Check out more of her work here: http://www.facebook.com/melissamaddonnihaims

And while we’re fresh out of knit-bits, there’s still plenty of yarn and ribbon. Fabric at RE is just $1-$12 a yard, depending on type. Perfect for holiday projects!
