The Resource Exchange + Found Theater Company

test003Found Theater Company’s Philly Fringe production, This is the Twilight Kingdom opened this week and is running until September 22nd. They are using a pedestal, reclaimed paint, and a silver tray that they picked up here at the store!  Plus our reCreate Featured Artist of the month and staff member Alison Mae Hoban is in the ensemble!

Found is a small theater company that had an even smaller budget for producing a show about a HUGE subject: Outer Space!  The reclaimed paint enabled the company to re-paint the large, maroon floor of The Painted Bride black at a fraction of what it would have cost if they had bought new paint.  The paint was leftover from a major motion picture that was shot locally.  We were thrilled to be able to provide a conscientious company like Found with the tools they needed to set their stage.  We have a  lot of reclaimed paint from film sets in the store, most of it selling for only $5 a gallon!

photo-2The Found crew also purchased a beaten up pedestal that was exactly what they needed for the center of their stage.  They cleaned it up and repainted it so it looks just like new!

Support making art from the arts, our mission of providing local artists with affordable supplies reclaimed from film and theatre productions, by going to see This is the Twilight Kingdom!

Description: We ask: Why are we so drawn to outer space? What happens to us when we reflect on the big cosmological questions? With our hearts to the stars, with music, bodies, and science, we offer a piece of quantum theater that lies somewhere between waking and dreaming.
