SoapBox is now open!

Soap Box StorefrontThere’s a new store in town!  Ginger Kovac of Holistic Home just opened a storefront to sell her handmade and all natural products in Queen Village.  It’s called SoapBox, and you can find everything from all natural lotions and soaps, to entirely green cleaning supplies.  So what does this have to do with The Resource Exchange? Well, not only to we love the idea of Ginger’s environmental and health conscious products, but she found a whole bunch of supplies for her store at our store!

Ginger came into the re looking for creative containers for her handmade candles, and she sure found ’em!  Ginger spotted our reclaimed, ceramic mugs and found them to be perfect vessels for a variety of cozy candles!  Ginger even took the time to match the kind of candle with the style of the mug.  Here’s a lavender candle in a delicate, lilac mug, and a coffe candle in a warm, quirky, brown mug!

Not only do these mugs add an even homier touch to Ginger’s products, but since they’re reclaimed, they are in line with Holistic Home’s mission of building a stronger, more environmentally and socially conscious community by providing green and local household products.  This is such a great reuse for these mugs, we’re so glad they found their second lives at SoapBox with Ginger!  Read more about Holistic cleaning and SoapBox in this philly.com article.  And make sure to visit Ginger’s store at 616 6th st., between South St. and Bainbridge St. on 6th.
