The crew from Lower Merion Players came into The Resource Exchange recently to find discounted and reclaimed materials to help build their set of “Arcadia.” For this production, they purchased a large roll of corrugated paper, which they used to texture the large columns that surround the set. We saved dozens of rolls of this corrugated paper and are thrilled that they used reclaimed material rather than buying new. And the set looks great!
Players is an entirely student run theater organization, with students taking charge of all aspects of creating a production: from designing to directing to management. They work closely with and receive guidance from a few professionals from the Philadelphia theatre community, and produce three full productions per school year.
The run of “Arcadia” is already over , but Players will be back in May with a production of Red Herring, by local playwright Michael Hollinger!
