Boris Kroll produced textiles for many applications between 1931-1991. He used vibrant colors with advanced weaving techniques to generate eyecatching high-quality jacquard-woven fabrics.

Kroll was awarded an honorary degree in textiles in 1971 by the Philadelphia College of Textiles and Science. His work was on display at the Philadelphia Museum of Art’s “Design Since 1945” showcase from 1983-1984, and he has been featured in exhibitions including the 1953 “Good Design” exhibit at the MoMA, the 1981 show “Boris Kroll—Tapestries and Textiles” at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York, and more recently in a 2013 retrospective of his work at the New York School of Interior Design.

Kroll was a self-taught weaver who founded one of the largest textile mills in the US. At the time of his death, his company had 16 showrooms across the country with a massive manufacturing facility in Paterson, New Jersey.
