Creative Reuse: Miniature Hobbit House

Carolyn Leonard made this incredible creative project that will transport you to the Shire, while proving reuse on any scale can make a big impact!  Carolyn is a “just-for-fun” crafter and a professional photographer in Philadelphia. Take a tour of the miniature Hobbit House and see if you can spot any of the materials Carolyn reused below:

“I used a lot from RE: fabric for the embroidered rugs, bedding, towels, and chair covering; leather for the tiny vest and many of the book covers; the tiny embroidery hoop for the wall decorations; knitting needles to make a blanket; and hook/eyes for tiny wall hooks. I loved that I didn’t need to buy a full pack, your partially used pack was perfect!

There might be more in there too, but it’s hard to remember. It’s great to be able to go into RE to either look for specific items or just be inspired by something unexpected!”
